Bug Cupcakes

Since tomorrow is Charlie's last school day before he turns the big 4, he requested to bring in cupcakes for his classmates. Specifically, he requested "bug cupcakes" so here they are, from the bakery down the street:

Random Comment Of The Day

CHARLIE: "Mommy, I broke my eyeball, and I got another one, but it doesn't fit right."

Okay I Admit...

In these pictures Amelia does look decidedly like Charlie did at this age, minus the hair bow. It's that chubby deer-in-the-headlights look that she has going on here...

Big Boy

CHARLIE: "When I grow up to be a big boy I'm going to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's bed. Right now I'm a little boy so I sleep in my bed."

ME: "No, when you grow up you're going to buy your own house and sleep in your own bed there."

The horrified look on Charlie's face was priceless. Maybe I could have been slightly less to the point.

First Days...

I am happy to report that Amelia survived her first day at daycare and I survived my first day back at work. Of course I completely forgot to take a picture of my lil munchkin on the way out the door this morning, but maybe I will remember tomorrow morning, for her second day of school...
