Stone Harbor Day 2 (or is it 3?)

Today was again not so much of a beach day, being breezy and on the cool side so Mike took Charlie and Jay fishing and I took Amelia to get her hair wrapped and to buy headbands at Bad Kitty. We also took the kids to the playground and basketball court. The rest of the week promises to be sunny and in the 80s so we're looking forward to spending the rest of the week at the beach. Stone Harbor Wetlands Institute

Today was cloudy and rainy so Mike and I took the littlest kids to the Stone Harbor Wetlands Institute where they enjoyed the touch tanks, a presentation on mollusks and an hour's worth of crab trapping in the salt marsh behind the institute where they caught crabs, shrimp, an eel, a flounder and a pipe fish along with lots of minnows. So I decided that the upkeep on blonde hair plus the way it dries my hair out was not worth it, and that I wanted to go brunette with red highlights. After a long discussion with my hair dresser (who has pitch black hair) about what was dark versus too dark she proceeded to dye my hair WAY TOO DARK!! As you can see from the picture below, I now bear a striking resemblance to Michael Jackson. I also have had to endure Amelia not speaking to me or looking at me for 12 hours ("I liked you better with yellow hair!!") And several of my patients have asked me why I dyed my hair purple. Sigh. I'm hoping that the upcoming week in Avalon NJ will lighten it up a bit!
